She was angry. Angry at them for invading her country, angry at whoever betrayed them but mostly, angry with herself. She knew the forest raids were risky, why insist on that last mission? They’d been waiting; she led her resistance group right into an ambush. The Nazis had killed everyone except her and now they wanted information.
She will not yield. They are both good, very good, they won’t be easy but she knows she’s better and has one advantage they will never have. Her determination is as boundless as her patience. When the time is right she will take them both, and then, if she lives, she plans to deal with the collaborator.
