Sport is one of the most popular types of virtual reality content that viewers are excited about, and Spherica was part of an early experiment to make this type of VR experience a reality. In 2015, Spherica filmed a Euroleague Basketball game in 360 degrees, using several static multi-camera rigs as well as the first fully stabilized rover with proprietary 360 rig. By filming both on the court and in the stands, Spherica was able to capture and immerse viewers in the best moments of the game from multiple perspectives, showcasing the potential of sports coverage in VR.
